The National Museum of African American History and Culture is part of the Smithsonian Institution and was created by Congress in 2003. It is the largest and most comprehensive display of African-American life, art, history and culture in the United States.


The National Museum of African Americans has introduced SOYO Technology intelligent interpretation system equipment, using high-tech to tell and display the life, history and culture of African-Americans.


The National Museum of African American History and Culture is located on the National Mall in Washington, DC, next to the Washington Monument. The National Museum of African American History and Culture will start construction in the summer of 2012 and is expected to be completed and open to the public in 2015. The entire project is expected to cost $500 million, half of which will be funded by Congress and the other half will be raised by the museum itself.


The museum houses African-American archives, records, photos, books, African woodcarvings, furniture, etc. In addition, it also introduces the history of the Colored Carnival and the contribution of African-Americans to the carnival. The most striking exhibits in the museum are items related to slaves before the Emancipation Proclamation.
