The Ministry of Education released standards for the smart education platform: creating a bright future for education amidst digital transformation

On the afternoon of February 13, the World Digital Education Conference was held in Beijing. As an important achievement of the conference, Lei Chaozhi, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Informatization of the Ministry of Education, released seven standards and specifications for smart education platforms at the main forum.
The seven standards for smart education platforms released at this World Digital Education Conference focus on four aspects: platform, data, resources, and literacy. They provide an important basis for the construction and application of the smart education platform system, and will play a significant role in regulating the aggregation and secure sharing of data in the education system, supporting the co-construction and sharing of digital educational resources, quality control, and long-term development, and promoting the deep integration and innovative application of digital technology with education and teaching.
The conference initiative calls on countries to strengthen exchanges, cooperation, and resource sharing, comprehensively advance the development of international standards for digital education, build a community for digital education standardization, jointly create open, inclusive, and resilient digital education, promote the sharing of achievements in educational reform and development among people of all countries, and jointly create new spaces and prospects for the future of digital education.
