On August 12, the Dongguan Municipal People's Government held a press conference in the conference hall on the first floor of the Dongguan Administrative Center, announcing that the 12th Dongguan Electronic Information Products Exposition (Dongguan E-Expo) will be grandly held from October 14 to 16 this year at the Dongguan International Convention and Exhibition Center. "The first stop for global ICT procurement" will become the new positioning of the 12-year-old Dongguan E-Expo. "ICT is the Chinese abbreviation for 'Information and Communication Technology'. This change in positioning is intended to emphasize that the E-Expo will focus more on promoting trade exchanges within the professional field, and will expand its market target from focusing only on a single market to equally emphasizing both overseas and domestic markets." Zeng Qingyun, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee Office of the E-Expo, stated that the scale of this year's E-Expo will achieve steady growth based on the previous session, and will focus on breakthroughs in helping enterprises "transform and enhance core competitiveness" and "one-on-one" procurement matching.
It is also learned that in order to help enterprises cope with the current complex and ever-changing economic environment, the Dongguan government has launched a number of "practical benefits" for exhibitors and buyers. Since the full launch of exhibition recruitment on June 7 this year, enterprises have enthusiastically signed up to participate. At present, 380 enterprises have passed the exhibition review, with a total of 618 booths confirmed. The number of participating enterprises and the reserved exhibition area have reached 63.3% and 51.5% of the exhibition's designed scale, respectively. In addition, 7,568 professional buyers have registered to visit this electronic information feast. Among them, local electronic enterprises in Dongguan remain the main participants, while electronic information enterprises from the Pearl River Delta region such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhongshan, and Huizhou, as well as from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Hubei and other places, have also formed a considerable contingent of exhibitors from outside the city. The latest recruitment statistics show that the proportion of non-local enterprises in this edition of the Electronics Expo has slightly increased, and their enthusiasm for participation has risen compared with previous years. The increasing participation of non-local electronic enterprises highlights the important role of Dongguan, a famous city of electronic manufacturing, in the domestic electronic industry chain.

According to reports, the 12th Electronic Expo has set up 1,200 booths, with 600 carefully selected enterprises participating. The layout of the exhibition areas also reflects Dongguan's industrial characteristics, with a focus on improving the quality of exhibits and maintaining their high-tech and advanced nature. According to the latest statistics released by the organizing committee on the 12th, the number of pre-registered buyers online has reached 7,568. In addition, partner organizations such as the Guangdong Electronic Chamber of Commerce and Made-in-China.com will also organize professional purchasing delegations of over 5,000 people to attend the expo, and assist 70 buyers in achieving "one-on-one" precise matching with pre-screened exhibitors at the exhibition site. By then, a number of star purchasing enterprises including IBM, Midea, Elec-Tech International, Hasee Computer, Haier, Great Wall Computer, Suning Appliance, Zhongyu Telecom, Flextronics, Zhongshan Guanhong Electronics, Huizhou Guanghong Technology, and Guangzhou Tianlu Communications will enter the expo site to conduct "one-on-one" precise matching procurement negotiations with exhibiting enterprises. At the same time, the organizing committee has also reached cooperation intentions with consulates, chambers of commerce, and associations from more than 20 countries and regions, including Brazil, Australia, Nigeria, India, and Vietnam. It is expected that the number of overseas buyers attending the expo will exceed 3,600, injecting a strong "international flavor" into the expo.
